Sigmacover 280 by PPG is a two-component, aluminum pigmented, polyamide-cured universal epoxy primer designed for use in protective coating systems. Engineered for steel and non-ferrous metals, this versatile primer offers exceptional adhesion, corrosion protection, and performance even in immersion service and low-temperature environments.

With a dry film thickness (DFT) range of 25–40 µm (1.0–1.6 mils), Sigmacover 280 serves as an ideal sealer or tie-coat, and is also suitable for touch-up applications on weld seams or damaged areas of epoxy coatings during construction. It adheres effectively to a variety of substrates, including galvanized steel, shop primers, and wet blast cleaned surfaces, whether damp or dry.
